Information and translations of gavelkind in the most comprehensive dictionary definitions resource on the web. Gavelkind is a pretty clean succession model: priority goes in birth order. But thanks~ I have never had the votes change my succession under elective gavelkind, not even with -200 tyranny, The heir I nominated always recieved the main titles. Under plain elective succession, yes, votes will count. Unlike under gavelkind, the sons of deceased daughters take precedence over all living daughters. If you have no children but your sister has a son, her son is the direct heir, preceding her and any other sisters of yours (even if older).
